Mind = Blown.
The past weekend had been a game changer for me … NOT because of the crazy Black Friday sales weekend where I spent a few hundred dollars on my health and intelligence, BUT ALSO because I had learnt so much about creating successful information products online.
Think about it, knowledge is not power.
Otherwise, libraries and the Internet could have created more millionaires.
Yes, they both have contributed to the progression of humanity, but access to knowledge is NOT enough to change lives.
The problem is even if people read/learn about a subject matter, they don’t freaking APPLY them into their real lives.
Results? Life = Exactly as before
I know it’s funny how we suddenly stumble into such business/psychology/success topic, but I think it’ll be damn useful to you.
Here’s the 5 unnegotiable features of successful information product:
#1 Information MUST create behavioral change
It’s one thing to lay out 101 things you must do to lose weight, it’s ANOTHER THING to produce, organize, outline, execute, educate, explain, inform, elucidate, motivate and inspire people to take action upon new information.
To create a successful SOLUTION in whatever areas of people’s life, you must able to present info in a way that people FEEL GREAT about it and go FREAKING DO IT. You must create an emotional state that reinforce implementation.
#2 You MUST limit choices & options
By limiting choices and options, we’ll become MORE UNLIMITED in our ability to create value in people’s lives.
It’s an interesting paradox that seems contradictory, but seriously when humans are presented with unlimited options, they become paralyzed and incapable of taking action to even move one step forward.
Help them by sorting out the best few options and inspire them to do it.
#3 Any given solution only contains 4-6 vital elements
To paraphrase one of my favorite success mentors Jim Rohn, success is always about half a dozen of simple key daily discipline repeated over time.
So when you’re creating a solution, ask yourself, “If I could only share 4-6 specific things that contribute to the success of the solution to the problem, what would they be?”
Read that again.
It determines whether you’re going to create a million dollar solution.
#4 You MUST leave someone behind in order to serve someone deeply
Sounds cruel? Not so.
You HAVE to focus on people who really matters i.e. those who are willing to be helped, those who have a BURNING DESIRE to change their lives, and those who are willing TO TAKE ACTION with your assistance.
You must focus on those 20% in the marketplace so you devise a solution that create REAL RESULTS for these people, that’s how you create maximum impact in overall.
#5 Be the person who can influence how your solution is presented
Every day there are new problems emerging in the world. Every day there are new solutions available in the market. If you don’t solve the problems, someone in this 7.5 billion population world will.
So you have 2 choices.
Would you rather people in pain to go to an unknown solution…
Would you have these people come to you, where you can influence how the solution is presented so they truly help them?
Top guys in Team Prolific and I probably will choose the latter.
